PRESIDENT’S MESSAGE
With Optimism and support of our Silver Wings membership we welcome in another year. As we reflect on 2008 we had many challenges and accomplishments. With renewed interests we are looking forward to 2009 making this an outstanding and memorable year. Election of five new national board menbers will be held soon. If you are interested in servicg on the National Board, I encourage you to complete the (Petition for Nomination Form) included in this Slipstream issue. We are in need of dedicated members that are interested in the future of our great Fraternity.
Our first event this year will be the Sun 'n Fun Fly-in, at Lakeland Linder Regional Airport, April 21-26, 2009. This is one of the most memorable events that attract not only Silver Wingers but many aviation enthusiasts from around the world. Many aviation forums, workshops and evening entertainment including the U.S. Army parachute team "Golden Knights" have been scheduled. The Golf Coast Chapter will be on duty at the Silver Wings Clubhouse to welcome our members and sign up new members. One of the highlights of the week will be to join other Silver Wingers to watch the Friday night airshow from the clubhouse.
